The Inelco IMC charger has been optimised for the charging of electric wheelchairs and vehicles equipped with two closed, maintenance-free and lead-free batteries with a 24 V series connection.
With this easy-to-use tool, we have paid maximum attention to safety, for both user and battery.
The charging process consists of three phases: the main charging, the post-charging and the maintenance charging.
The main charging phase involves charging a constant current (i.e. the charger’s maximum current) to the battery, during which time it stores most of its capacity. The main charging is over when the maximum charge voltage reaches the battery’s upper limit of 29V. At this point, the battery will be charged up to around 80% of its capacity.
The yellow, light-emitting diode, “Charging” symbol will flash steadily throughout the main charging phase.
Once the battery voltage reaches the gas limit, the charger switches to the post-charging phase, when the voltage is maintained at a constant 29V and when the charging current gradually drops as the charging nears completion.
In the post-charging phase, you will see a fast flashing yellow “Charged” symbol until the charging current drops below the value of 0.5A. This is a sign that the battery has been recharged up to approximately 95% of it capacity.
The charger is made of stainless steel.
